She walked in slowly, drinking in the peculiar view quickly. Hidden astonishment surfaced, you could see it in her brown eyes. She could mask so many feelings, but surprise was definitely the hardest for her. Calmly she swept her black hair behind her ear with a soft, fast movement of her hand. Plucking a strip of paper out of her pocket, she gazed at it with a small amount of confusion, and slipped it back in. She started up the cobblestone street, turning her head slightly whenever something caught her eye.
He walked out quickly, drinking in the familiar view slowly. A rare, genuine smile pulled at his mouth. The cold air bit at his face pleasantly, and his gloved hand jerked up to tug his hood over his head. Wind ruffling his wavy rust-red hair, he turned around the corner briskly. Determined to cross the road, he picked up his pace. Yellow cabs darted back and forth, making it nearly impossible to get to the other side. The white, walking, lit up man, frozen on the sign, appeared suddenly with a loud ding. The boy with the golden hair waited outside the line. He stared at the glittering ocean in front of him solemnly, an undeniable recognition forming inside of him. The tall pine tree sitting to the left of him felt wrong, like it didn't belong in the picture. Something stirred in the back of his head, a vague connection to it.
A very vague, short one.
See if you can tell who's who.

I like your style of writing! It's interesting how fluently you move through things, how you describe things! It's very-for lack of a better word- edgy.
